At Apex, she supports the lab by learning protocols, blood draws, EKG’s, and assisting with clinical research procedures.

Marissa transitioned to Apex Clinical Research Center in 2023 following 9 years of experience as a phlebotomist and patient care assistant in a hospital setting. She takes pride in providing top-tier medical care to patients and supports the clinical research coordinators in ensuring that visits are conducted according to protocol and with great efficiency.

Caroline finds joy in staying informed about current therapies and identifying potential eligible patients. She is enthusiastic about overseeing the clinical trial life cycle and offering the best treatment options to our patients. Caroline earned her BSPH degree with a concentration in clinical trials research in 2018 before joining Apex Clinical Research Center in 2022.

Hannah Snyder
Clinical Research Coordinator II
Hannah has seven years of experience in research. After finishing her Bachelor of Science in Public Health at Kent State, she wanted to continue to further her education in research and is currently pursuing a biomedical science track post-baccalaureate program with hopes of being admitted into a Cellular and Molecular Biology Ph.D. Program. She joined Apex as a Clinical Research Coordinator in 2024. Her passion for dermatology came from personal skin struggles and understanding the impact it has on patient's everyday lives.

In 2020, Stacey completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing before joining Apex Clinical Research Center in April 2024. Previously, Stacey worked as an ICU nurse giving her an opportunity to blend her nursing background with her new career in research. Stacey enjoys providing outstanding care while contributing to the advancement of treatment options.
Brianna Stewart
Clinical Research Coordinator II
Brianna started her career in dermatology research in 2012 before pursuing her nursing education. In 2023, she joined the Apex Clinical Research Center team. Brianna had a firsthand experience of the positive impact clinical research staff has on patients when her mom participated in a trial after being diagnosed with stage four small B-cell follicular lymphoma. Brianna is dedicated to enhancing the lives of others through improved treatment options that research offers.

Cassie brings 14+ years of data entry experience to Apex Clinical Research Center. She is focused on data accuracy, integrity, and high-quality documentation to help improve the future of medicine. She is happy to be contributing to the research that leads to better treatment opportunities for our patients.
Leah Watkins
Clinical Research Assistant
Leah earned her certificate in Medical Assisting from Aultman College and has been working as a certified medical assistant since 2021. After three years in general dermatology with Apex Skin, Leah transitioned into clinical research, where she discovered a passion for advancing patient care. Leah enjoys working in clinical trials because she is able to contribute to meaningful progress that improves treatments and outcomes for patients.

After completing her medical assisting program, Moranda discovered she loved the fast-paced, hands-on work of patient care. Beyond the technical skills, she knows healthcare is where she belongs—building trust comes naturally to her, and helping people is what makes the job feel right every day.
